Locomotives and Rolling Stock
The main locomotive used on the layout is a Proto 2000 EMD GP7 Ph II equipped with QSI sound. This has been recently joined by a Broadway Limited EMD SW7 PhI switcher, also equipped with QSI sound.
Also sometimes making an appearance on the layout is Proto 1000 BUDD RDC Railcar. This has been converted to DCC following the instructions found here. The only difference being is that I used my decoder of choice, the NCE D15SR.
These locomotives are also supplemented by my father large collection of HO locomotives in use on his Elm Street Yard layout. Rolling stock consists of a variety of freight cars from most of the major manufacturers, including; Atlas, Athearn, Proto 2000 and Accurail.
