The Trackwork
Before laying the track, I marked out the trackplan full size, using the actual turnouts to mark their positions. I then laid Woodland Scenics track-bed onto the plan, gluing it down with PVA. The track was then laid using dressmaking pins.
Track is Peco Code 75 Finescale. All Switches are Electrofrog, with the exception of the double slip. Switches are thrown manually using a modified 'wire in tube' method.
The track was then ballasted using Woodland Scenic's fine grey ballast, and glued using the time-honoured method, of dripping a solution of diluted PVA with a couple of drops of washing up liquid onto the pre-wetted ballast.
